The 2009 Fosters Cup International Wakeboard & Wakeskate Contest September 4-6 at Cable Island Magdeburg, Germany!
Cable Island is proud to present the 3rd annual Foster’s Cup and 2nd stop of the 2009 WWA Europe Wake Park Series (EWPS), September 4th-6th.
International competitors will meet in Magdeburg for another showdown on the water and for their chance to earn cash prizes and the coveted overall series title.
The wakeboarding season is well underway and the plans and preparations for a fantastic event are in full swing.

T Mobile Extreme Playgrounds 2009 !
Action sports world class in Hamburg! On August 30, Wakeboarding World Champion Mike Ketellapper (NL) and European Champion Dominik Gührs from Munich will meet their toughest contestants at the Wasserski-Arena Pinneberg near Hamburg, to fight the battle over the T- Mobile Extreme Playgrounds title. As the official finals of the WWA Wake Park World Series, the event also has confirmed last years winner Tom Fooshee from Texas, among others. And for the first time, the world’s best wakeskaters and female wakeboarders are going to start at the Summer Session as well. Confirmed here: Acting World Champion Maxine Sapulette (NL). International top-level can be found at the BMX Miniramp competition as well: US hero and X- Games bronze medalist Rob Darden is going to be along for the ride, as is acting German Champion Tobias Wicke.

Trailer for Teisseire King of the lake wakesurf contest. It's will be the September 5th and 6th on the Annecy lake in France.

STAGE WAKESURF avec DOMINIC LAGACE (Vice Champion du monde de wakesurf 2008)
L'AFWS organise un stage de Wakesurf en collaboration avec Wake the Best à Duingt au bord du lac d'Annecy. Le Coaching sera assuré par le Vice Champion du monde de Wakesurf le Canadien DOMINIQUE LAGACE. Ce stage aura lieu la semaine avant la finale du King of the lake du 31 Juillet au 4 Septembre. Si vous êtes nombreux une deuxième session est possible du 7 au 11 septembre.
Le stage dure 5 jours, du lundi au vendredi, chaque stagiaire ride au minimum 30 mn par jour. Le coach s'adapte évidement au niveau de chacun. Un débrief vidéo sera organisé 2 fois dans la semaine afin de permettre a chacun de corriger ses défauts. Le prix du stage est de 400€/rider, cela comprend le coach, le pilote, le bateau ( Super air Nautique 230 ) et l'essence. Le logement et la restauration sont à prévoir en plus.

The World Wakeboard Association (WWA) and the Ukrainian Water Ski and Wakeboard Federation (UWF) are pleased to announce the Ukrainian Wake Park Open and third stop of the 2009 WWA Wake Park World Series. This event will take place August 21-23 at the X-Traction Wake Park in Kiev with $27,000 in total cash prizes on the line.

Pour ce 31 eme numéro, nous avons mis l'accent sur le côté jibb qui se développe de plus en plus dans le wakeboard. En effet, que ce soit sur un spot public avec des modules plus ou moins chauds destinés à un usage régulier, ou que ce soit sur un spot 100% naturel dans une rivière, un étang... vous êtes de plus en plus nombreux à laisser de côté les airs tricks au profit du Jibb. Et cette tendance, les marques l'ont bien comprise.
Aujourd'hui on voit ainsi apparaître des boards avec des shapes et des flex complètement adaptés à cette pratique. Company, Slingshot, Ronix, Liquid Force... Toutes ont desormais une board qui répondra à l'exigeance des plus jibber d'entre vous.
Alors faites marcher votre créativité, découvrez des spots, sortez des sentiers battus et allez donc jibber !
